Portrait compilation

The portrait exercise we did made me realize how much more interesting portrait photography can be if you step away from "normal portraiture". Doing this exercise allowed me to capture expressions and reactions, that cannot be staged or recreated. So when compiled, the photographs give a great array of  images and you can almost imagine what the subject may be discussing or laughing or frowning about.

When the roles reversed and I was being photographed, I found myself very aware that I was being photographed  however I tried to act as natural as I could. When looking at the images of me I noticed hand movements and expressions running through, that other people will notice about me, however I wasn't conscious of them.

It was an enjoyable exercise, however I certainly feel allot more comfortable behind the camera!
